Almost every week on the Hot 100, there is at least one new track that breaks into the top 10, becoming a major win for the artist (or artists) behind the tune. Sometimes, more than one cut lifts into the region or even debut there (as is the case this frame). The turnover inside the tier is rapid, and the competition is fierce.
Right now, there are a number of successful songs that are vying for space inside the Hot 100’s top 10, and the five cuts listed below may all eventually find their way into the arena…or perhaps only some will, while others will have to settle for coming very close, but not quite making it.
Here are six singles that stand a good chance of reaching the Hot 100’s top 10 very soon.
Drake – “Laugh Now Cry Later (ft. Lil Durk)”
Gabby Barrett – “I Hope”
Rod Wave – “Rags2Riches (ft. ATR Son Son)”
Dua Lipa – “Break My Heart”
BTS – “Dynamite”
Miley Cyrus – “Midnight Sky”
After a very short break in between projects, Miley Cyrus is ready to kick off the latest era of her career with “Midnight Sky,” a catchy pop-rock tune that could give her the hit she’s seemingly been looking for. The track appears to preview her next full-length, and it will likely enjoy a lofty start on next week’s Hot 100, and a top 10 beginning isn’t out of the question.
Even if “Midnight Sky” does fail to break into the top 10 right away, it could do so after gaining ground at radio, which seems eager to take a chance on whatever Cyrus has to deliver.
