TikTok’s Watermarked series will offer a sneak preview of Miley Cyrus‘ Plastic Hearts album on Thursday (Nov. 26) via an interactive journey “inspired by the music and punk-rock-inspired aesthetic” of the collection.
The special will kick off at 11:30 p.m. ET on Miley’s TikTok account, a half-hour before the singer’s anticipated collection drops.
The exclusive, live-only listening Watermarked series will get a Miley gloss when the singer walks fans through some of the collection’s key tracks and answers questions in comments. The Plastic Hearts episode promises an “interactive journey inspired by the music and punk-rock-inspired aesthetic” of the album, that will feature cameos, Easter eggs for Smilers and excerpts of new songs.
Miley, who has more than 6.5 million TikTok followers, inspired more than 40,000 videos earlier this summer with the Hearts single “Midnight Sky” according to the service; last week she previewed the video for her Dua Lipa collab “Prisoner” on TikTok.
The 12-song album includes collaborations with Billy Idol (“Night Crawling”) and Joan Jett (“Bad Karma”), as well as the provocatively titled “Gimme What I Want,” “Hate Me” and “Golden G String.”

Along with posting the song names, Cyrus revealed the album’s featured collaborators, including Dua Lipa (on the song “Prisoner”), Billy Idol (on “Night Crawling”), and Joan Jett (on “Bad Karma”). Absent from the tracklist are Cyrus’ popular covers of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” and the Cranberries’ “Zombie,” which were originally reported to be part of the new album.
So far Cyrus has released one single from Plastic Hearts, “Midnight Sky.” She also released “Edge of Midnight,” a fan-made remix of the track that mashed it up with Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen.” Plastic Hearts will arrive in place of two EPs that Cyrus planned to release this year and later canceled after undergoing vocal cord surgery; last year, she teased those projects with the single “Slide Away.”

Because it’s not enough for just one vintage Stevie Nicks song to have reentered the zeitgeist (see: the TikTok “Dreams” resurgence), Miley Cyrus is doing her best to make sure that history quickly repeats itself by pushing another Nicks favorite, “Edge of Seventeen,” back into public prominence.
Late Thursday night, Miley released what is officially deemed “Edge of Midnight (Midnight Sky Remix),” a track that mashes up her own current single, “Midnight Sky,” a top 20 hit released in August, with “Edge of Seventeen,” the hit that appeared on Nicks’ first solo album, “Bella Donna,” back in 1981.
Although no details were immediately released about the track apart from the two singers’ respective tweets, it does appear that Nicks participated in the remix to the extent of lending her voice to Cyrus’ new song, too, as it appears in the conjoined mix, which starts off with Waddy Wachtel’s unmistakable 16th-note guitar riff.
“Stevie Nicks has always been my idol & an inspiration. It’s an honor to now call her my friend and collaborator,” Cyrus wrote on Instagram. Among the immediate responses were triply repeated fire emoji from fan Kacey Musgraves. Nicks herself posted: “Miley…Magical! Loved singing with her!”
