Miley Cyrus is honoring the memory of her late grandmother by offering up t-shirts immortalizing the family matriarch with a stroke of cartoon candor and pop culture flavor.

“In honor of my Mammies funeral #Mammie4Evr limited tees are up on shop.Mileycyrus.com….” Miley tweeted out, Monday. She promises to donate a portion of profits to a Tennessee community group meant to help children stay in school. The organization is a tribute to Loretta Finely’s preschool teaching career and college graduation at 70-years-old.
“Mammie,” as Cyrus affectionately called her, was a fan favorite, many times accompanying the 27-year-old Pop star to red carpet events while sporting an enlarged pair of fierce transition shades. It’s that image of Loretta throwing up a peace sign that christens the shirt’s front side. The back displays a rallying cry “MAMMIE 4EVR.”
Over the weekend, Miley shared emotional tributes to her grandmother on Instagram. “Even though you are gone…. NOTHING has or ever will change. You will FOREVER be my inspiration and fashion icon,” the caption reads. “Even more than that, the ultimate model of being a true LIGHT in a dark world. You are sunshine.”
Miley is set to continue a time honored pop tradition, performing at the MTV Video Music Awards, August 30, for a fifth time. She’ll perform her brand-new single, “Midnight Sky.”
Last week, the one and only Miley Cyrus dropped her brand new single “Midnight Sky”. To celebrate the release, this weekend Miley is donating* $1 for every Postmates order placed using a special code to an organization close to Miley’s heart, My Friend’s Place.
My Friend’s Place is a nonprofit resource center that assists homeless youth, providing services to over 1,400 homeless aged 12–25 every year. Working out of their resource center located in Hollywood, My Friend’s Place offers programs that provide drop-in services including food and clothing, educational programs and employment readiness services, health and wellbeing services, crisis care, and more.
In addition to the donation, last night Miley and Postmates teamed up with Alfred Coffee to make a special midnight delivery to Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in LA, feeding hundreds of essential workers in the COVID-19 unit.
Even though I’m excited about putting out new music into the world, I haven’t forgotten that we’re still battling Covid-19 and how the pandemic is continuing to affect so many people’s lives, especially our frontline workers across the country working tirelessly to serve our communities. To thank some of our healthcare heroes in LA, I’ve teamed up with Postmates and Feed Hero Nurses to donate Alfred coffee to midnight shift nurses at MLK Hospital in LA and I want my fans to join in as well. I’m asking you to nominate a midnight hero – tag them below/DM me for a chance to win a midnight snack on me.@MileyCyrus via social media

Internet sensation Missy Modell is at it again. The parody singer-songwriter has taken Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” and turned it into a pop-fueled commentary on voter suppression. In the video, a cheerful Modell sings about showing up to vote, only to be told she’s at the wrong polling station. She must drive across town in rush hour traffic (because Election Day is, stupidly, on a Tuesday)…and finds her polling place is closed.
“Throwing my hands up / They’re making it hard / But I’m gonna show up anyway / Yeah it’s voting in the U.S.A.,” she belts out.
How can you avoid a disaster like this on Election Day? Well, you could try to make a viral video about voter suppression like Modell, but since none of us is that talented, here are some more practical ways to ensure your vote gets counted.

Personally, I get influences from several pop artists! I am a huge fan of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, and Rihanna.

It’s her party, she can do what she wants. And these days, for Miley Cyrus, that means a solid hike and maybe a green juice?
The pop star, who once sang about “dancing with Molly” and has waxed poetically about her love of pot, surprised everyone last month when she revealed she’d spent the previous half a year as a dedicated teetotaler. Or, as she put it to Variety‘s Marc Malkin, “sober sober.” What began as a means of preserving her voice following a November vocal cord surgery has turned into an entire lifestyle overhaul, the singer relishing in needling mom Tish Cyrus and country legend dad Billy Ray Cyrus, he of the newly launched cannabis line, about their marijuana use.
“One of my favorite interviews is when I say, ‘Anyone that smokes weed is a dummy,'” she told Malkin. “That one I love to send to my parents, who are big stoners, every now and then.”
And should they, or anyone else for that matter, challenge her stance, the 27-year-old pays them no mind. “It’s really hard because, especially being young, there’s that stigma of ‘You’re no fun,'” she allowed. “It’s like, ‘Honey, you can call me a lot of things, but I know that I’m fun.'”
And, now, completely clear-headed as well. “The thing that I love about it is waking up 100 percent, 100 percent of the time,” she said. “I don’t want to wake up feeling groggy. I want to wake up feeling ready.”
That she wants to wake up beside boyfriend of nine months, Cody Simpson, goes without saying. Having landed his dream girl, the person he once dubbed his “childhood celebrity crush”, the 23-year-old Australian singer continues to be her most devoted champion. “We keep each other in a good place,” he said during an October appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show of the shared sobriety that cemented their developing romance last fall. “That’s what’s really healthy about it and I think that’s the first time I’ve had that in a relationship. We’re very, very much on the same page.”
In the July 13th episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, as part of the segment Kellyoke, Kelly Clarkson performed a cover of Miley Cyrus‘s The Climb.
