As a couple, Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus have kept themselves busy since the order to stay in place was issued in Los Angeles back in March. Simpson has been channeling his energies into a debut poetry collection entitled, Prince Neptune, while Cyrus has launched her Webby Award-winning IGTV series, Bright Minded. Their latest project sees the couple drawing from each other’s skill-sets: Miley Cyrus has directed the music video for Simpson’s latest release, “Captain’s Dance with the Devil,” which goes live today.
Cyrus, who took on styling, cinematography, and makeup duties in addition to directing, presents Simpson in a new light. […] Onscreen, Simpson can express all sides of himself, and Cyrus’s vision allows for such complexity.
It takes bravery to do something outside the box, but for Simpson, this seems to come naturally. In a personal statement he shared with Vogue, Simpson outlines the thought process behind the visuals and why he and Cyrus have formed a lifelong collaboration.

Now that we’ve spent so many moons at home, the temptation to take hair—its length and its color—into one’s own hands is an admittedly strong one. And though the undertaking can be risky, some in-home hairstyles are a cut above others—like Miley Cyrus‘s new punkish pixie. The pop star exchanged her now-iconic mulleted shag for a shorter iteration this week, the chop executed by a dream team comprised of a virtual Sally Hershberger and Miley’s mother, Tish.
Several inches shorter and cut to frame her face to elvish effect, the cut was cultivated after a creative conversation between Miley (currently in Los Angeles) and Hershberger (from the Hamptons), the originators of Miley’s party-in-the-back coiffure. Hershberger led the charge via FaceTime, with Tish turning stereotypes of mom-induced bowl cuts and accidentally abbreviated bangs on their heads, deftly carrying off the transformation. The result is Miley mullet 2.0, the ideal ‘do for elevating sweatpants, playing remote concerts, and all that this present moment entails.

Miley Cyrus reminded the class of 2020 that it’s all about the climb during her #Graduation2020 performance.
Honoring the graduates around the world that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the Disney alum sang a moving rendition of her 2009 hit “The Climb” to celebrate those who were not able to attend their graduations.
“Hello to all the graduates out there. I’m truly honored to celebrate each and every one of you high school and college seniors and all that you’ve accomplished,” she shared during the stream available on Facebook Watch. “As I was thinking about you, the class of 2020 and how you inspire me, I knew I wanted to share this song with you. It feels full of a new meaning. Keep the faith, keep on moving, keep climbing, here’s ‘The Climb.'”
Dua Lipa recently did an interview with Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen where she was asked about her song with Miley Cyrus.
There were some songs that didn’t make the album with Normani and Miley Cyrus. Will those be on the deluxe?
Well the one with Miley that we did together, we actually ended up deciding that we wanted to get into the studio and do something different – but we actually hadn’t had the chance to get back in and work on something new. So hopefully we’ll do something – I guess once quarantine is over, we can all hang out again. We’re hoping to do that.
Are you excited for a Miley Cyrus & Dua Lipa collab?
