Global superstar, Miley Cyrus announced today she will release BANGERZ TOUR, a DVD featuring performances off her Grammy nominated BANGERZ album (RCA Records) on March 24th through RCA Records. BANGERZ TOUR will be available at both physical and online retailers.
Last year, Miley Cyrus, who Time Magazine called one of the “most dynamic performers of her generation”, took the world by storm as she brought her BANGERZ TOUR to fans across the world. The highly anticipated DVD features show stopping performances from tour stops in Barcelona and Lisbon, along with behind-the-scenes content focusing on the tour and her personal life. Idolator praised the tour as “weird and wonderful” and USA Today raved that “Cyrus has the charisma and maybe the smarts to be the post-Madonna Madonna”.
Miley gives larger than life performances of SMS (Bangerz) , 4×4, Love Money Party, FU and Get It Right. BANGERZ TOUR also includes countrified covers of Hey Ya! by Outkast and Jolene by Dolly Parton, as well as, party anthems We Can’t Stop and Party in the USA.
Bangerz debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Album chart and the Digital Album Charts with over 270,000 albums sold. Additionally, during release week, Bangerz hit #1 on iTunes in over 70 countries. Both singles, “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop”, off Bangerz have already sold 7 million copies in the U.S. alone. “Wrecking Ball” hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for two weeks. It became Miley’s first Billboard Hot 100 #1 and her fastest-flying top 10 on Radio Songs. “Wrecking Ball” also hit #1 on Spotify and during its debut week broke the record for most streams in a week for ANY track EVER on Spotify in the US. The music video for “Wrecking Ball” quickly reached CERTIFIED status, Vevo’s milestone for videos delivering 100 million views in less than a week.
Bangerz received rave reviews including Entertainment Weekly calling it “…utterly fresh, a pop blitz from a hip-hop blueprint, and proof that Miley won’t settle for just shocking us.” US Weekly declared it “the year’s most titillating pop explosion” awarding the album “4 stars (out of 4).”[Source]
For a while now, Miley Cyrus has been inching closer to pornography with her increasingly revealing outfits and scandalous dance moves. Now she’s going to appear in an actual pornography festival.
Cyrus submitted her short film, “Tongue Tied” — which depicts the almost-nude “Wrecking Ball” singer in bondage gear and sexually suggestive poses — to the NYC Porn Film Festival, which begins in Bushwick on Feb. 27.
It’s not pure pornography — the video has no sex, and though she writhes around in her underwear, she keeps her nipples covered. But it’s full of bondage imagery: Cyrus dons a blindfold, has her legs constrained by straps and is tied to a chair with only black tape covering her nipples. It’s a touch “Fifty Shades” with a pinch of Madonna’s “Justify My Love” video.
“It’s a pop take on S&M,” festival founder Simon Leahy says. “She’s starting to become more of a contemporary artist.”
The video was released online in May, and Cyrus used it during her shows on her Bangerz Tour last year. Leahy says Cyrus found out about the festival through a mutual friend based in London, then sent in her short film, which she made with director Quentin Jones and the production company Cadence. While she likely won’t be at the festival personally, Cyrus is no stranger to Bushwick: She was spotted — topless and twerking — at a secret Alexander Wang warehouse party in the neighborhood in September.
The NYC Porn Film Festival is sponsored by the free video site PornHub, and runs Feb. 27 through March 1 at Secret Project Robot, featuring amateur and professional work from international filmmakers.
The space will be arranged more like a gallery than a seedy Times Square theater of old. There will be a bar, and viewers can walk around and discuss the various videos and art. In addition to “Tongue Tied,” the opening night party features a Tila Tequila sex tape and a handful of independent submissions.[Source]
For her first-ever nomination, Miley Cyrus made sure to make a bang at the Grammy Awards.
The 22-year-old singer turned heads on the red carpet wearing a seductive Alexandre Vauthier cut-out gown at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The Bangerz artist left no room for underwear in the backless design that while floor length, certainly showed off her figure.
Miley – who is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album – donned a long black dress that featured triangle cut-out pieces on her torso and hips.
She went braless showing off her bare back with only delicate strings elegantly holding her ensemble together.
The blonde beauty slicked back her short locks in a sleek hairdo and kept her makeup to a minimum to display her flawless complexion.[Source]
